Hooray! Thin Lizzy re-issues of classic LPs coming this year and another tribute tour in the UK featuring Brian Downey, the drummer for all the Philo years, Scott and Darren, the keyboardist added in the 80s. Plus Viv Campbell, he of Def Leppard and Dio fame. Plus some guy I’ve never heard of as the lead singer…hmm, must research. Doubt that line up will tour the US but it’s great to see some of the boys back in town again he-he. I am such a Lizzy geek as my longtime friends will attest to.

I did my first “official” Ustream broadcast over the weekend. In case you missed it, you can view the YouTube version below. I didn’t really prepare anything, just winging it to a generic hard rock backing track. The test was successful except that the option to post to YouTube failed during the upload from Ustream. I had to recode and republish the video. Better luck next time.

For now, I think I’ll keep the broadcasts short and use them for the occassional ‘noodle”. Once I have some more new songs to perform and practiced some old favorites, I might do a “concert” sometime down the line.
